Bells on Bloor 2008 - A Huge Success

Bike lanes please!Bike is smarter!
So many bikes. It must have been well over a thousand. I did a rough count based on a video I shot at the start of the ride and I came up with a total of 1200 or so. The police estimate was 1000-1500 riders. More than double than last year.
And on such a perfect day! Many more photos here which I think speak for themselves.

Seeing our trumpet cyclist hassled and fined by some dumb cop at the beginning was too much.
I'm glad he wasn't arrested, he's truly the star of every ride. The city should cancel the fine and give him a handshake instead.
Other than that, it was a beautiful ride.

Thanks all who rode, and who documented/posted.
Love the pic of the kid - and Miller with MLJ too!
Musicians need bike lanes to preserve their fingers and lungevity. If we can't provide the bike lanes, they deserve police escorts instead eh?
