I was there and I think at the time we were worried about a split in the mass, a few people were calling for the gardiner but it was never more than a few giddy calls.
Correct me if im wrong but when the mass hit the Gardiner didn't the mass fracture as some were uncomfortable with riding on the Gardiner?
I missed the Gardiner mass but I'm always up for something new and wacky.
That mass was alot of fun, although one incident with a motorist hitting a cyclist. The cyclist was fine but his tires were a bent write-off. To add insult to injury the driver took off the second we cleared the bikes from infront of him.

Great photo!
Fri, 05/01/2009 - 14:29And a good mass. I'd never been down the hill on Jones before. It's pretty damn awesome.
Riding Lakeshore was fun too. I went home before the ride hit the Gardiner last year. The Lakeshore ride felt like a suitable substitute.
Hopefully our having done Lakeshore won't prompt a ridiculous police response like last year.

who wants smooth pavement anyway??
Sat, 05/02/2009 - 19:21Riding on smoothness is so abnormal, that everyone felt they should exit?

Probably Worried about a Fracture, Good mass though.
