The following video shows a ride downtown from the point of view of my helmet camera. A useful tool for rides, the helmet camera both lets me take videos of what a ride feels like, and has a wonderfully civilizing effect on drivers en route.
I've tried this but using 1st a runner band around the camera and handlebar, then a gorilla style tripod for the camera - both a bit unstable and very bumpy! How did you attach your camera to the helmet? Is it home-made, or did you but a commercial 'helmet cam'??
I took this with a commercial helmet camera the GoPRO Hero.
I went back and forth on it for almost a year, because they cost a great deal more than regular cameras. The price they quote doesn't include a 2-gig memory chip that adds about $50 or more. But after Darcy Sheppard got killed on Bloor St., recording my rides just seemed to make a whole lot more sense.
