Something you don't see everyday: a truck stopped by a mounted police. My gf saw it on Queen and ran to get me to take pics.
Was it speeding? Does it have something to do with the dent on the side? Was it a get-hit and run? What's the cop using to process the guy? Is he phoning it all in? So many questions.

Thu, 11/25/2010 - 08:35This happens all the time in Liberty Village. Between 4 and 6pm I believe, it is illegal to turn left onto Atlantic from King. So police sit at the top of the hill and end up lining the side of the street with cars waiting to get tickets. Alot of times its mounted police. Its kinda funny watching the cop lean down from his horse to get licence and registration lol. Also during the summer I was asked on a few occasions by a mounted officer to get a coffee for him from starbucks lol

Fri, 11/26/2010 - 15:39Years ago, I observed a couple of bicycle cops (see, relevant for TO biking!) pulling over and busting a Camaro with New Brunswick plates. This happened right on Yonge St., in front of the Eaton Centre, no doubt to the embarrasment of the yoots in the car.
(This was in the time of Yonge St. weekend cruises. So the bicycles had no problems "catching" the Camaro, as traffic was close to a standstill.)
