Rob Ford is a tool of car culture
Mon, 02/04/2008 - 14:54Rob Ford raises an awful point, as usual. I feel bad to put a blunt tip on it, but from how red faced he always is, I suspect he should be more supportive of the Ride for Heart.
A better idea would be to close the Gardiner and DVP every Sunday morning for the use of cyclists and rollerbladers. They do it in Ottawa with the parkways and it's great (the parkways are not multilane highways of course, but this is Ottawa after all).

Ford's sputterings
Thu, 02/07/2008 - 20:38LOL! The Beluga blows again! His honorable blubbership surfaces in a torrent of lard to rail against an event occurring, what?, one day out of 365 -- a Sunday at that!
Yup, nixing the Polyunsaturated Parade will certainly alleviate TO's traffic woes. But it's telling that he singles out the Becel bash over other more extensive events such as the Molson Indy -- can't forgo the lucre there.
Yawn, just more grandstanding from the parsimonious porker.
