Last week there seemed to be a theme in the cycling news I came across: "problems and solutions". I liked how all the ideas spoke to problems we have here.

Please use provided bike racks. All others will be removed at owner's risk.

Would be nice if the rack wasn't upside-down in the snowbank. Should upgrade to something better than a wheel-bender too.

Hot on the heels of last week's West District Design Initiative public meeting, there will be a public meeting to discuss the proposed changes to the Islington and Kipling transit stations.

Over the weekend, the GTTA (yes, that's a real link to their website) announced a short term plan to improve transit use in Toronto and the surrounding area. The main features of the plan are additional train coaches, increased track capacity and new buses (including double deckers, which will be good, if not a little strange, to see here).
