Dr. Steph
You want to know why?!
Wed, 08/22/2007 - 12:41To writers of letters National Post decided were more important that views of cyclists:
Do you want to know why I follow the rules of the road 90% of the time but don't the other 10%?
Because I don't want to get killed.
a) When I'm making a left hand turn at an intersection and you decide to drive through the intersection and not notice me.
b) When you're nudging me onto the side walk to get ahead of me to make your right hand turn. Or you're just too busy talking on your phone to look.
c) When I'm taking up a good portion of the right hand lane and you just "sneak" by and I feel your mirror brush against me (or worse which I saw last week to the man in front of me).
etc. etc. etc.
I just needed to vent. I hate the National (Com)post.

Yeah, McHenry...
Wed, 08/22/2007 - 16:37I saw the video, and wished I hadn't.
The Automobile is no less a 19th century invention than the bicycle. But, like too many politicians, he seems to like to hear his own voice. McHenry is best ignored.
But I did read a few good rebuttals, which are more intersting and better articulated than I could do.
